A coenzyme central to cellular energy metabolism and DNA repair, used (subcutaneously or by slow IV) in longevity and metabolic-support contexts. Cellular NAD+ levels decline with age.

Mechanism of action

Essential cofactor for redox reactions (NAD+/NADH) and a substrate for sirtuins and PARPs, linking cellular energy status to DNA repair and metabolic regulation. Supplementation aims to raise NAD+ availability (human evidence is preliminary).

Not a peptide and not an approved anti-aging therapy — sold as a research/wellness compound. Human PK is poorly characterized and highly route-dependent, so the half-life here is a rough estimate. Subcutaneous injection or fast IV commonly causes transient flushing, nausea, or chest tightness; IV is given slowly for this reason. Discuss with a clinician.
