IGF-1 LR3 is a long-lasting version of IGF-1, a growth factor that promotes muscle and tissue growth. Used in research and (unapproved) in bodybuilding.

One-dose burn-down
Half-life
24 h
Range
20 h–30 h
Tmax
1.0 h
Typical dose
40 mcg

A long-acting analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 with reduced binding-protein affinity, extending its activity.

Mechanism of action

Activates IGF-1 receptors to drive cell growth and proliferation; the LR3 modification resists IGF-binding proteins, prolonging action.

Research peptide — not FDA approved. The ~20–30 h half-life is a pharmacologic estimate, not from a human SC trial. Can cause hypoglycemia.
