Relamorelin
Also known as RM-131, BIM-28131
Relamorelin is an experimental injectable that speeds up stomach emptying, studied for diabetic gastroparesis (a stomach that empties too slowly).
Investigational ghrelin (GHS-R) receptor agonist studied for diabetic gastroparesis and constipation, accelerating gastric emptying.
Mechanism of action
Potent, stabilized ghrelin-receptor agonism stimulates GI motility (and GH release) with greater potency and longer duration than native ghrelin.
Investigational — not approved. More stable than ghrelin but still short-acting; a precise human half-life is not well published, so the value here is an estimate.
