Maridebart cafraglutide (MariTide) is an experimental long-acting injection combining GLP-1 activation with GIP blocking, dosed as infrequently as monthly and showing strong weight loss in trials.
Investigational peptide–antibody conjugate (GLP-1 receptor agonist + GIP receptor antagonist) for obesity, designed for monthly or less-frequent dosing.
Mechanism of action
Two GLP-1 analog peptides conjugated to an anti-GIPR antibody give a very long half-life; combines GLP-1 agonism with GIP-receptor antagonism.
Investigational — not approved. Half-life ~21 days supports monthly dosing; trial doses vary widely, so the default here is illustrative.
